Dinorah Klingler
A Lifetime of Music
Dinorah Klingler is a Mexican-born vocalist, guitarist, and mariachi director whose musical journey began in Mexico City at age three. By 14, she was already a professional lead singer, performing throughout the city. After immigrating to the United States, Dinorah became a passionate advocate for women in mariachi, founding Mariachi Las Alondras—an all-female ensemble that performed at major events including the Hollywood Bowl’s Mariachi Festival USA and the Alma Awards
A versatile artist, Dinorah has performed jazz, flamenco, rock, blues, and Latin music, and has released two albums, Querido Huapango and Ojos de Amor. Now based in Sacramento, California, she founded and has directed Mariachi Bonitas de Dinorah Klingler since 2020, and has produced the annual Mariachi Festival de Sacramento since 2014, featuring Mariachi Bands such as Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, Mariachi Estrellas De Mexico, Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán, Mariachi Divas, Mariachi y Femenil, Nuevo Tecalitlán, and solo singers such as Shaila Dúrcal, Lupita, Infante and Sandra Guevara. In 2022, Mariachi Bonitas de Dinorah recorded their first album called: Por Ser Mujer. They have also perform for great artists, such as Los, Tigres Del Norte, Ana Gabriel, and Yolanda Del Rio. In addition to performing, Dinorah is a dedicated mentor, music instructor, and cultural arts advocate in her community.
International Highlights:
2024: Mariachi Bonitas traveled to Mexico City for a performance on the program “La Hora Del Mariachi.”
2025: The ensemble traveled to Thailand to perform at various celebrations of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Thailand, invited by the Mexican Embassy.
2026: Mariachi Bonitas will travel to Paris, France, as one of the guest all-female bands to perform at the “Festival de la Femme Mariachi à Paris.”
